The department of Economics was established in the year 2021 under the headship of Ms. Aswathi Das. The course sows the seeds of ideation, curiosity, and interest in young minds of students, further leading them to make successful careers in banking finance, statistics, auditing, marketing, etc

To nurture the Department into an excellent centre for UG Programme in Economics in sync with the vision of the college “ Education for Empowerment ”

• Systematic and timely coverage of the syllabus linking theory to practice

• Imparting analytical tools to understand and interpret key economic issues and concepts

• Providing a thorough knowledge of macro and microeconomics
